“The truth is you don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed.” – Eminem
My Saturdays are now filled with great pleasure – yoga. I tried yoga back years ago for the very first time and it didn’t stick. I remember thinking then that just like the picture above I would be sitting still with my palms up towards the heavens trying to focus on what I wanted out of life. I pictured a peaceful place where I could just sit very still for an hour. Well, I was so wrong!
Yoga thus far is all about breathing, long, deep, rhythmic breathing to calm the soul and still the mind. Even when my legs don’t fold like I would want them to, it’s all about breathing for now. My intention is to stop the chatter in my head.
It’s about what life wants from me. I learned at least in the pass few Saturdays that life wants me to be more of a listener than a beggar.
After reading this post: http://freethinkr.org/2015/11/01/i-should-have-starting-doing-this-sooner-now-im-addicted/, I was inspired to share my experience with yoga/meditation. I can definitely relate.
