Be Inspired. Be Empowered. Be Transformed.
“Make the impossible possible.” – Bill Strickland
As a leader I have to stay focused and move pass it. I’m not interested in fitting into someone else preconceived mold. My determination to live my purpose, in a way that improves the lives of people who need some help to unlock their own potential, never wanes. It seems to me the old ways of social intervention aren’t working. I think I have found a way that helps people. If it means wearing a suit and a tie instead of my old uniform jeans, etc… that’s what I’m going to do. And if I have to learn the style and language of corporate america to make the world understand that helping the poor is not about charity but about improving society in ways that will yield significant benefits for their own bottom lines, then I’m going to do that too. It’s not about being popular, it’s about having the guts and the integrity to be true to your vision about caring more about the thing you’re trying to achieve then your own allegiances to ideology conventional expectations or what other people might think.
