Simply Perfect!

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” -Confucius

I am always curious as to how people envision a perfect day. Not something way off into the future or so grandeur that they have to wait twenty years to experience it, but a realistic present perfect day. Like a stroll in a notable park over in the next city, taking a nap in the middle of the day, going to the beach on a weekday or volunteering at your child’s school.

They seem reachable, right? I think so too, but so few of us actually use our vacation time, let alone take a day off in which we dedicate to ourselves. It’s always about the doctor’s appointment, dental appointment, emergency at the school, sickness, car troubles, you know.

I implore you to take out your calendars and play “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe!” Now turn to the next month if you haven’t already planned a vacation and decide which week will it be and pick a day. Now submit your time!

The plan for the day is to do exactly what you said was a perfect day for you. I am really good at this game, so for one of my days I got up that morning and drove to this café that I had wanted to go to for a least a year, sad I know. I packed up my laptop and began my day. I wrote most of the day then I headed home to be there when my girls got home from school.

Treat yourself you deserve it!
